• The Dynamo is a 12VDC brushless motor and integrated controller manufactured by Nidec Motor Corporation. This low powered motor with integrated controller is a new alternative to the brushed motors used within the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). The Dynamo is an excellent way for FRC teams to learn about brushless motor technology as they power turrets, small lifts or arms, and conveyor systems.   Nidec has manufactured this motor to have an 8 mm output shaft allowing it to be used in some applications where you would normally use a CIM motor.

  NOTE: As of 2026 these motors are NOT legal for use in any FIRST programs.
